That’s it. This is what it feels like. This is what it looks like, smells like, tastes like. You’ve reached the final point and you’re at the tippy top! The view is so clear from here…Is it everything you thought it would be?
Qualities of the Tens

The general meaning of the Tens is achievement and success. On its own, that sounds quite wonderful, but we know that achievement and success aren’t always what it’s cracked up to be. If the Nines in tarot are about a turning point, then the Tens are about coming back to the beginning again. The appearance of the Tens can represent major milestones (both internal and external) in life, only this time with heightened awareness and maturity. You must now bear witness to what you’ve gained, good or bad.
The Tens are also the highest realized potential of their suits. For instance, the Wands encompass belief and action, so the Ten of Wands is about the burden of self-belief but the belief others have in you, denoted by amount of wands carried by the figure. The spirit of the Ace of Wands is to take inspired action, and so the Ten of Wands represents the immense responsibility you have now as a result of this inspired action. It’s the burden of hard work knowing that it will pay off soon, or you have achieved your goal and now must come to terms with the commitments that are associated with it.
There is a sense of commitment with all the Tens. Mostly, a commitment to follow through with something to ensure you don’t lose what you’ve worked so hard to build. This could have to do with financial security, long-term relationships, or accepting rock bottom. They all call on a part of us to acknowledge our ability to sustain ourselves and others. Interestingly enough, the appearance of the Tens show us that change is on the way, too. As I said before, it represents a major milestone after a period of hard work. The Tens can also represent the natural conclusion of something in your life.
Overall, the Tens can represent the end of a cycle, realized potential, having the “full experience,” and taking on more responsibility.
Numerology of Ten
The numerology of this double digit is better understood by its parts. The number 1, a number of beginnings, and the number 0, a number of infinite potential, signals the start of a new cycle after the last one has ended. Number 10 is about wholeness but it’s also about upgrades. This number represents the completion of a karmic cycle, and so, you’re ready to begin again with a better understanding of yourself in the world.
Because it is tied to the number 1, the number 10 represents leadership and independence. There’s also a sense of inner faith associated with this the number 10. After having gone through digits 1 through 9, coming back to the beginning does not scare you. In fact, you might welcome the challenge of beginning from scratch.
The number 10 is also associated with synchronicities, confidence and intensity.
Make Your Own Luck: Wheel of Fortune

The Wheel of Fortune (X) is the card of destiny. This card also represents all sorts of cycles: seasons, day and night, the phases of the moon, as well as our own life phases. The wheel forever turns round, so no matter what you are going through, the appearance of the Wheel of Fortune can represent that you are about to reach a turning point. This could be a “this is gonna be great” phase or “shit is about to hit the fan” phase on the horizon. Please note that sometimes this karma can come from your own actions or from out of nowhere, and now you may reap the benefits… or losses.
The Wheel of Fortune can represent unexpected changes which will put you at a crossroads. This is often a test of faith: will you take your life by the reins no matter what, or are you going to resist the opportunity for growth? In a positive way, this is a chance to break out of negative patterns, and that can be a little scary. Personally, I see the Wheel of Fortune as as symbol of the Spiral of Life, where we meet the challenges we’ve long encountered again and again until we’ve learned our lessons. When it shows up in a reading, it’s a great sign that you have the chance to move in a different direction.
